"Gerontological Social Work is a well-written, interesting book...an important contribution to the growing body of gerontological literature." — Joseph G. Pickard, PhD, LCSW, Activities, Adaptation & Aging

"As a classroom instructor in gerontological social work, I am excited to have this new resource. Gerontological Social Work: A Task-Centered Approach is comprehensive yet it contains the details that students need to learn how to provide service to older adults and their families." — Nancy Morrow-Howell, professor and chair, Ph.D. Program, George Warren Brown School of Social Work, Washington University

"The book presents a comprehensive, yet practical, approach to the growing field of gerontological social work. It is an excellent textbook for preparing social workers and other helping professionals to respond effectively to the specific challenges faced by today's older adults. It is the ideal textbook for students in social work and gerontology, and an excellent reference for social workers who have elderly clients." — Andrew Scharlach, Kleiner Professor of Aging, School of Social Welfare, University of California at Berkeley
