"Case Studies goes beyond the basic education of theoretical concepts specific to the LGBT population and allows for the elicitation of discussion." — Mona Tiernan, PsycCritiques

"Lori Messinger and Deana F. Morrow have provided social work educators with a rich collection of case studies involving sexual orientation and gender identity diversity in social work practice with individuals, couples, families, groups, organizations, and communities. This valuable and long overdue resource will greatly enhance our efforts to integrate GLBT-focused content in practice, policy, and research courses. Reflecting a broad array of practice issues and the diversity within GLBT populations, this casebook fills a critical gap in the practice literature and will be a precious resource for educators who strive to meaningfully integrate GLBT content in social work education."-" — Diane E. Elze, associate professor, State University of New York School of Social Work
