"Well structured and clearly written . . . a welcome addition to the limited literature on

management in the third sector." — Angus McCabe, Community Development Journal

"Nonprofit Organizations fills a gap in the literature on the nonprofit sector in the United States. No one has written a comprehensive book like this that could truly meet the needs of teachers, students, and professionals in the field." — Sara Melendez, George Washington University

"Thomas P. Holland and Roger A. Ritvo have been at the forefront of the rapidly expanding field of nonprofit management and board governance, which has been an important component of social work practice from the earliest days. This interesting and useful introduction to nonprofit organizations is an excellent addition to what has already established itself as the premier book series in contemporary social work." — Roger A. Lohmann, West Virginia University, coauthor of Social Administration and Rural Social Work Practice
