About the Author
Christopher D. O'Sullivan is the author of The United Nations: A Concise History and Colin Powell: American Power and Intervention From Vietnam to Iraq. He teaches history at the University of San Francisco, is a fellow at the Center for International Studies at the London School of Economics, and is a recent Fulbright Visiting Professor of the History of American Foreign Policy at the University of Jordan, Amman. In 2005 he served as the keynote speaker at the United Nation's sixtieth anniversary celebrations. He received his Ph.D. from the University of London and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.
