"One of the best scholars on Saudi Arabia today, Madawi Al-Rasheed brings new and veteran observers together to examine contemporary Saudi Arabia. These contributors adopt a post-9/11 approach that takes a hard look at the country without being beholden to its rulers. In a way, these scholars are just as globalized as the new Saudi Arabia, and this strengthens their analysis." — Joshua Teitelbaum, senior research fellow at the Moshe Dayan Center for Middle Eastern Studies, Tel Aviv University
