About the Author

Nicholas Tromans is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Kingston University. He is the author of David Wilkie: Painter of Everyday Life (exhibition catalogue with essays by two other contributors, Dulwich Picture Gallery, 2002). He is the co-author of the forthcoming title, John Frederick Lewis (Phaidon).
