In late 2011, Columbia University Press acquired worldwide rights to publish nearly 170 backlist titles from UK publisher Wallflower Press as well as approximately 70 new titles which will be published over the next several years. Today, Wallflower Press is a wholly owned imprint of Columbia University Press.

Dedicated to publishing high-quality peer-reviewed books in film studies, Wallflower Press was founded in London in 2000 by Yoram Allon. Columbia University Press has been its exclusive book distributor in North and South America since 2001.

As Consulting Editor to Columbia, Yoram Allon continues to work with his editorial and pre-production team, to prepare manuscripts for publication under the Wallflower imprint, working directly with Wallflower Press’s authors.

The Wallflower Press imprint will continue to feature the many well-known series that have defined the Wallflower Press brand as a source of cutting-edge exploration of film history, theory, criticism, and practice, such as Short Cuts, Directors' Cuts, 24 Frames, and Nonfictions, as well as many other miscellaneous titles across the spectrum of cinema and the moving image.

For more information on any aspect of the Wallflower Press list, please contact Brad Hebel. All enquiries regarding acquisitions can be sent directly to yoram@wallflowerpress.co.uk.
